‘Kalavar King’ is just a youthful entertainer with Nikhil Siddharth playing the lead. There is not interesting story in this film and just is a time pass movie with some comedy churning scenes.
Story
Rajesh (Nikhil) is a go lucky due in the village in Rajmundrry; he is a son of teacher (kasi Vishwanath) and has a street smart attitudes. Coming from the middle class background, Rajesh has some habits for which he lends loans though all sources.
Shruthi(Shweta) enters the house of Rajesh incidentally and from then on stays over there for a while. She looses her precious chain in the house, which is fetched by Rajesh. Rajesh then starts blackmailing as her takes advantage of the situation and demands various kinds of food materials from her.
Shruthi gets the precious chain from her Bava Narender Shetty (Ajay) and unexpectedly and in an accidental situation drops it into Rajesh house. So, for this reason, she bears Rajesh sweet torture and does whatever he demands.
In a twist to the story, Narender Shetty and Rajesh get involved in a tangle and pledge the chain. Narender desires to marry Shruthi at any cost. But Rajesh has some other thing in his mind.
One fine day, a peculiar incident changes the thinking of Rajesh and the rest of the story is suspense.
Finally, all ends with a happy ending.
Performances
Nikhil seems to have zeal to become an big actor and in some scenes over-performs than needed. But he justifies his role in the movie ‘Kalavar King’ and so performs well. His dancing skills are also good in and need to improve a bit.
Shweta Basu Prasad needs to shed her weight a lot. She is going to become a cylinder in few days. She is seen as a dumbo in dances, as she just shakes her waist to some steps; while the female group dancers work a lot t cover her up. Her acting skills are average in ‘Kalavar King’. But she must be paid fully for exposing her assets to the most.
Talented actor Ajay played the portion of Narender very well in ‘Kalavar King’. So, does Raghu Babu, venu and Ali.
Actress Anita is seen in an item song in ‘Kalavar King’. She gives a treat to the mass crowds by her latkas and Jhatkas. The same magic of Nagarjuna’s “ Nenunanani” is weaved by her in the item song of ‘Kalavar King’.
Music of ‘Kalavar King’ is just averaged and has nothing new or exciting. The background score is below the bottom mark.
Direction by Suresh for ‘Kalavar King’ was average and a lot of directional flaws can be made from the movie presentation. The first scenes of this film show the lack of experience of the director.
On the whole, this movie ‘Kalavar King’ has no potential to run for a long time at the box office.
